'When this fine band from Kent burst into song, everyone who was in their sound range suddenly took notice. A couple of minutes into the first track almost everyone was dancing or swaying to the rhythms of their quite unique sounds. There was about six of them playing guitars, banjos, and violins. Wrapped around all this were very special vocal harmonies, almost spiritual, with a touch of Afro/Celt sounds. This was a real coup for Blackpool to get this band. Hopefully they will be back.'

'When it was time for The Pharaohs to take to the stage, there was a distinct excitement in the air, coupled with an intrigue to find out what Tom Farrer (complete with new band unit) could bring to the table.
Guitars chimed, rhythms pulsed and the band's voices were raised high as if announcing a call to arms. The Pharaohs proved to be a true musical force to be reckoned with, without ever taking an eye off the song.'

“A musician can aim through his music to unlock the positive potential in any situation, oiling the dance of life and, if appropriate, lifting the spirits. The job is to create magic in a way that is broadly accessible.”

Queen of Uncool (aka Judy Fights Back) once worked in a florists, but has been a musical being all her life. Her live dynamics range from a whisper to a scream. The voice of a half-punk, half-hippy. Sound is her therapy which she delivers, in the hope that the listener will find solace, inspiration and understanding.
